Our Story

Builder Tools started with a problem seen from both sides.

Our founder grew up around the building trade and now works in it. We have seen homeowners struggle to get clear quotes, reliable updates and proper paperwork. We have also seen good tradespeople lose work because running the business side takes time they simply do not have.

Most tradespeople did not start their business because they wanted to spend evenings building quotes, chasing invoices and updating spreadsheets. They started because they are good at their trade.

So we built the system a modern trade business should have.

Builder Tools brings practical calculators, detailed quotations, invoices, clients, jobs, team scheduling, time and costs into one straightforward place. A calculation can become an itemised quote; a won quote can become a live job; the team can see what they have been assigned; and payments stay connected to the work.

AI helps with the repetitive parts, but it does not replace the tradesperson's judgement. It can turn good job details into a clearer first draft, summarise the day and help produce professional paperwork faster. You remain in control and can edit the result.

For customers, that means clearer pricing, better communication and a proper record of what has been agreed. For the business, it means less admin, fewer missed follow-ups and a clearer view of which jobs are profitable.

The Builder Directory gives members another way to be found locally. Customers contact the business directly; Builder Tools does not take a commission from the job.

The directory is not a guarantee of workmanship or a substitute for checking references, insurance and qualifications. It is a place for tradespeople who want to present their business professionally and give customers clearer information from the start.
