Fencing is one of the most common domestic projects and one of the easiest to mis-estimate. The classic mistake is ordering the same number of posts as panels — you always need one extra. This calculator works from the total run length, divides by panel width to get the number of panels, and adds the correct number of posts including ends and corners. Postcrete quantities are calculated per post based on standard 600mm-deep post holes. Gravel boards, clips, and fixings are listed separately so nothing is missed when placing your merchant order.
